MDXThe Team

We are extremely proud of the team of people that make up Lightning Motorsports. We would not be the same company without each of these individuals. From detailing the cars to assisting customers with their purchases, everyone at Lightning Motorsports makes an important contribution to your car buying experience.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the amazing staff of Lightning Motorsports.

Ronnie & Heather Moreno

Ronnie & Heather were longtime residents of Grand Prairie, but have relocated to Midlothian, Texas. Ronnie & Heather are the proud parents of four children named Bo, Dallas, Lucky and Harley. Okay, they are really dogs ~ but don’t tell them that. Both Ronnie & Heather enjoy working out, traveling, cooking out with friends and relaxing with their dogs. They are responsible for the overall operations of Lightning Motorsports – including buying most of the inventory. You will normally find Ronnie working on the cars and Heather will be typing away at her computer trying to stay caught up on paperwork! Ronnie graduated from Grand Prairie High School and received his BA with a concentration in Business and Foreign Language from the University of Texas at Arlington. Heather also graduated from Grand Prairie High School and continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington with a BBA in International Business and an MBA in Management. They are active members of Inglewood Baptist Church in Grand Prairie.

Kevin Fink

Kevin is the Finance Manager and General Sales Manager of the dealership. Kevin will always go the extra mile to get a customer approved for a loan and is one of the rare people that you find in the car business that is honest, hard working and dependable. He has lived in Arlington for 24 years and has been in the car business for 12 years. He graduated from Arlington High School and attended UTA. In his free time Kevin likes to take his boat to the lake, ice skate (just kidding!!!! he actually plays ice hockey) and golf. Kevin is the proud parent of a gorgeous Weimaraner named Apollo who likes to chew on Kevin’s couch when Kevin has been at work for too long!

Rosie Gonzales

Rosie is the best office manager in the world! She has actually been friends with Heather & Ronnie since they all graduated from Grand Prairie High School. Rosie has many years of experience in the automotive industry and everyone was thrilled when she joined the Lightning Motorsport’s team. She has lived in Grand Prairie most of her life and is an active member of Second Hispanic Baptist Church. Rosie has two sons, Chris & Eli, and two boxers, Allie and Luke. She enjoys shopping and spending time with her kids, family & friends.

Tony Gonzales

Tony handles the day to day operations of the dealership and assists with getting the vehicles ready to sell. He is originally from San Angelo, Texas but moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area several years ago. He brings 10 years worth of experience in the automotive industry to the Lightning Motorsport’s team. Tony and Rosie are married so he also attends Second Hispanic Baptist Church and has two sons, Chris & Eli, and two boxers, Allie and Luke.

Tricia York

Tricia is our accountant and practically a member of the family. She grew up in Louisiana and Texas and now calls Corinth home. She has been friends with Heather and Ronnie since 8th grade and you never know what trouble she and Heather will get into when they are together! She received her degree in accounting from Hardin Simmons and spent many years working in the financial world before we were lucky enough to steal her away. She is married to Jimmy and they have a very active little boy named Braxton. She and her family are active members of Fellowship Church in Grapevine and enjoy spending free time and the lake and relaxing with friends.

Cheryl Moreno

Cheryl is our honorary office mother. She used to be our office manager but he is currently doing mission work in Managua, Nicaragua for Project Hope. In a former life, Cheryl was a Spanish teacher in Grand Prairie & Mansfield before being drafted into the car business. She came to work one summer during summer break and no one would let her leave. She has five children and several more “adopted” kids. Cheryl is an avid reader and enjoys shopping (Kohl’s is her favorite place), getting manicures & pedicures and playing with her grandchildren and granddogs. Cheryl received her BA and teaching certificate from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Miles Burr

Miles joined the Lighting Motorsports team as part of the wholesale vehicle division (actually, he is the wholesale division!). Miles purchases vehicles from all over the state and sells them to other local dealerships. Miles spent many years in the retail side of the new and used car business and enjoys only working “part time” now. He spends the rest of his time participating in triathlons or relaxing at his lake house. He has a beautiful wife named Leah and an equally beautiful daughter name Marissa.

Orel Javalera

Orel is the most recent addition to the team at Lightning Motorsports and we are very happy to have him. He recently graduated from high school and currently attends a local college. He can always be counted up to help us transfer titles, make deposits and do general office work.

The Rest of the Gang

We couldn’t offer the quality of cars that we offer without an incredible team of people who detail them and work on them mechanically. We sincerely appreciate the work of Israel, Elias and Antonio – without them the car you purchase wouldn’t smell as good and the paint wouldn’t shine like it does after they wax it. Our mechanics, Pete & Pelon, can diagnose a problem and fix a car faster than most shops can even have it checked into service. Without them we would be lost!
